The point of theatre is transformation: to make an extraordinary event out of ordinary material right in front of an audience's eyes. Where the germ of the idea came from is pretty much irrelevant. What matters to every theatre maker I know is speaking clearly to the audience 'right now.'
R.J began his career as a street performer, literally taking his act to the streets. His abilities earned him the prestigious International Beaux Arts Award for Magic Excellence in 1979 as well as in 1980.
Seen by a casting director, R.J. went on to be featured in the Broadway Company of BARNUM. He also got the chance to perform at the White House before President Reagan.
His popularity on Broadway was just as noteworthy in the 1990’s, as he was contacted for choreographing magic for THE HIGH ROLLERS . He was also a part of the production of BUSKER ALLEY which starred Tommy Tune.
R.J is currently performing onboard the Ruby Princess ship, as part of the amazing Stephen Schwartz musical, MAGIC TO DO. In the show, he sings dances and does astounding effects that beguile the audience every cruise.
Arjay Entertainment has been presenting fun, interactive shows since the 1990's. For years we have created shows where characters engage guests and even get some of them to be part of the show!
Often Murder Mystery companies inform the guests of a murder that 'happened' before they arrived. But we created unique pieces where the characters interact right at the beginning, and have the audience wonder who MIGHT end up the victim.
When the 'murder' DOES occur, (caused by anything from poison to electrocution), we present a hilarious death scene, taking place in and around the audience.
After that, accusations fly and a "detective" uncovers the clues that will help the audience select the killer.
